How we use information

Although we collect certain information from you, please be assured:

  • We will not disclose any of your personal information unless you authorise us to do so, except where needed to deliver a service as set out below.
  • We always give you the opportunity to access and correct your personal information at any time

Information that you give us

There are various areas on our website where we either require or permit you to transfer personal information voluntarily. (For example, your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, qualifications, interests and activities, etc.) We use this information only for the purpose specified, ie. to process tutors for jobs they have applied for, or to contact clients about potential tutors.

Information that we derive independently

Aside from any information you may actively disclose to us there is other, less obvious, information which we might obtain about you. We will, for example, take up references on applicants and/or carry out background screening. These activities will only be undertaken with your full knowledge and consent, and the information thus derived will be subject to the same conditions as detailed here.

How to access and change your user information

A tutor may correct and update information related to their account. Go to tutor's login and enter your email and password.

Spam

Tutors International do not send spam emails to people who have given us their email address. Nor do we pass email addresses to third parties, except for the purpose specified, ie. to process tutors for jobs they have applied for.

Cookies

A Cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Cookies are widely used on the internet and have become an industry standard. Cookies enable user registration and login and personalization, among other things. Although a cookie cannot, in and of itself, identify you, it can identify your computer. Your browser is most likely set up to accept cookies automatically. If you would like to disable this feature you may do so by adjusting the options or preferences in your browser. However, by doing so, you will lose some of the conveniences of our web pages.

When we may be forced to disclose

We may disclose user information when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. Also, in the event of a merger, sale of all or substantially all of Tutor International's assets we reserve the right to transfer such personal information to a third party who agrees to abide by this Privacy Policy and use such personal information only for the purposes it was original provided.

Opting-out
