Austria

A well qualified, broadly educated, erudite, linguistic and musical Tutor is required for a full time role with two lovely children from a very private Austrian family. This is principally an after-school role and comes at a stage in the academic and social development of these young people where the appointment of a Tutor will make a significant impact. It therefore requires someone of appropriate background, wisdom and life-experience, someone who understands the influence such a position carries with it.

Malta (long-term)

An experienced early years teacher is required for this full time tutoring role working with a girl of 6 and a boy of 4. Although not essential, it would help if the Tutor were familiar with the IPC or PYP, as well Jolly Phonics. This is a joint tutoring role with two other Tutors who will be responsible for general education of two older children.

The position is based mainly in Europe with frequent travel to Malta, France and Ireland. The job starts in September 2012, initially for 12 months, and will be renewable by mutual agreement between all parties for several years.

Malta (long-term)

A qualified teacher is required for this full time tutoring role. He or she must be able to teach to IGCSE standard across a broad range of humanities and social science subjects. This is a joint tutoring role with one or two other Tutors who will be responsible for Maths and Sciences. Between them, the Tutors will need to be to cover as many of the following subjects as possible: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, English Language, English Literature, French, Spanish, (Latin perhaps), Religious Studies, Music, Art, Economics. In addition to covering the full range of academic subjects at secondary level, the Tutors will also need experience of the primary curriculum, preferably IPC. Applications are encouraged from candidates who can offer the subjects key to their specialism and perhaps a different range of the less standard subjects above.

The position is based mainly in Europe with frequent travel to Malta, France and Ireland. The job starts September 2012 at the latest, will be 12 months initially, and, for the right person, is renewable for several years.

Atlanta, USA

A superb Tutor is required from September 2012 to teach A level English Literature and History and to complete UCAS and Oxbridge applications. This is a full time role, continuing the home school education of a highly able young lady, and is based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The Client needs a teacher who has an exemplary track record at teaching the best students to achieve superb grades at A levels in History and English Literature. The job might suit a teaching couple who would share the role.

Ideally the Tutor will be what is considered today to be a traditional scholar – educated, intelligent, erudite, familiar with the classics and classical thought, rhetoric and philosophy. It is essential for the Tutor(s) to be able to inspire and challenge our Client’s daughter to learn, not only to the standards required for entry to the best Universities, but also to further a lifelong love of learning, knowledge and its application.

This role will suit an exceptional educator, someone able to adapt their knowledge and teaching style to a student who leads a busy and active sporting and social life. The Tutor(s) will need work closely with an existing Mathematics Tutor to create a homogeneous and coherent education: highly organised, well structured, and purposeful. The Tutors must function as a team to ensure the learning experience is fully balanced, effective, and enjoyable.

The position will commence in September 2012 and will last until the summer exams are completed in May/June 2013.

Switzerland

TI is looking for a couple for the roles of private Tutor and PA, based mainly in Switzerland, near Geneva. It is envisaged that a well-qualified Tutor will do the majority of the teaching while his or her partner works with the family as a personal assistant, or in a similar capacity. Both Tutor and PA will need to be fluent in English and French, and a third language between them is essential. Ideally, we are looking for people with dual nationality: British/American or European/American. This is a one-year, or possibly two-year position, commencing as soon as possible, and by March 2012 at the latest.

Seattle, USA - June 2012

An experienced tutor is required for this full time tutoring role preparing a twelve year old boy for entry into Eton in September 2013. The position is based in Seattle, USA, and lasts for 12 months from June 2012. The Tutor will need to be competent across all the subjects taught in Block F at Eton, including Spanish and French.
